Things are a bit rocky in South Beach but with a new head coach maybe the Dolphins can finally make strides again in the now competitive AFC East.

The Dolphins are in the midst of some dark times. Not since the Dave Wannstedt era (2000-2004) have the Dolphins a.) had a head coach with a higher win percentage or b.) had a coach survive more than three seasons. And it should be noted that Wannstedt, didnt even finish the 2004 season. A clear problem with Dolphins? Stability with the head coach and the quarterback. Since Dan Marino, retired its pretty fair to say that Dolphins have had a horrible run at quarterback. Whether its been Jay Fiedler or Ray Lucas or Brian Griese or Daunte Culpepper, there has been stability.

The New England Patriots certainly hope that they are able to duplicate the success their fellow conference men enjoyed in Sunday’s Pro Bowl, as their showdown with the New York Giants in the 2012 Super Bowl is less than a week away.

There was not much suspense in online betting as Manchester United routed Schalke on Wednesday to reach the final of the Champions League.

United won the first leg 2-0 on the road and there was no doubt they would win the second leg at home. United did not disappoint gamblers in Internet betting at the Sbg sportsbook as they routed Schalke 4-1 to advance 6-1 on aggregate.

Manchester United defeated Schalke 4-1 on Tuesday with basically their second string. That might sound weird but you need to remember that the second string for Manchester United is better than most other team’s first string. Antonio Valencia scored in the 26th minute to open the scoring and he assisted minutes later on Darron Gibson’s goal that made it 2-0.

The 2012 golf season is beginning to settle down now and some of the big names return to the field for the Farmers Insurance Open to be played at Torrey Pines North and South courses. The South course plays as one of the longest on tour at almost 7,600 yards and premium is very much on tee to green play at the Farmers Insurance Open. Sports Betting Overview Last season, the Florida Panthers and the Colorado Avalanche were not even factors in the playoff race. Both teams finished at or near the bottom of their divisions and missed the playoffs by several points. This year it is a much different story for both teams. The Florida Panthers still sit at the top of the Southeast Division while the Colorado Avalanche is only two points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The frustrating thing for the Avalanche is that it is in the much tougher Western Conference, which means that the Panthers lead its division with 50 points while the Avalanche’s 48 points are only good enough for 10th place in the Western Conference.

Despite the improvements of both teams, the price per head sports experts still do not give either team much of a chance to win the Stanley Cup this season.

QPR v MK Dons Odds Double result looks tempting in the Loftus Road betting

Mark Hughes will oversee his first match at Loftus Road on Tuesday night as his new QPR side take on MK Dons in an FA Cup third round replay. Rangers start as 8/11 odds on favourites for the match, while Dons are a best priced 7/2 and the draw is also best priced at 11/4 with Stan James.

Hughes will haveto defy recent Rangers history if he is to taste victory for the first time with his newteam. QPR remarkablyhavent won an FA Cup match in 11 years and they needed a late Heidar Helguson equaliser to rescue a replay in a 1-1 draw with MK Dons last weekend.

Neil Warnock was of course in charge then and Hughes will hope Helguson performs as well for him as he did for the last boss.

Northern Illinois Huskies (6-3) vs. Bowling Green Green Falcons (4-5) , :00 PM ET at Perry Stadium.

Northern Illinois is coming off a huge 63-60 win at Toledo last Tuesday. The Huskies improved to 4- in the MAC West Division and to me theyre the best team in the conference. I dont see them squandering this opportunity, they will carry their momentum into their game against Bowling Green.

Northern Illinois has won their last four games and they have scored 3 or more points in six straight games. Bowling Green on the other hand is -4 in their last five games, scoring or less points in all five contests. The Green Falcons do not have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Huskies in this game.

The 2011 college football season is winding down and everyone across the country is looking forward to their turkey and stuffing. 2012 NFL Playoff Picks

The final day of the NFL regular season set the tone for what should be a great 2012 NFL Playoffs. In the AFC, the (13-3) New England Patriots and the (12-4) Baltimore Ravens clinched the top two seeds, earning a much-deserved bye week. In the NFC, the almost perfect (15-1) Green Bay Packers earned the No.1 spot, followed by the biggest surprise of the season, the second seeded (13-3) San Francisco 49ers.

Other than the aforementioned teams, everyone will be in action this weekend, on both Saturday and Sunday. I will give you what I consider to be the best NFL Playoff picks for this weekend’s AFC Wild Card round.
