Ligue 1: Marseille v Lille

Home team have finally started playing good, attractive and the most important, effective football. Marseille is on four games winning streak and actually in last eight games they have a 7-1-0 record with a goal difference 21:5, making them for sure the most inform team in France right now. They are currently on 7th position, but with such a great form they surely must be looking after the third position, at least, which would give them Champions League participation next season. Hosts will be without defensive midfielder Kabore, just as brothers Ayew, who all left for Copa Africa, while striker Gignac is out with a injury till February. New player for hosts will be Brandao, who is recalled from his loan spell at Brazilian Gremio, as Marseille is missing offensive players right now.

Lille, on the other hand, is also having really good season, as they are on third position with only one loss till now, making overall score record 9-9-1. They are playing really good football, but comparing to in-form Marseille, they still have quite some disadvantages as they have lots of unnecessary draws. Still, they are the only unbeaten team in away games. Guests will be without right back Debuchy who is suspended, central defender Basa who is injured, substitue striker Tulio de Melo and without star player Moussa Sow who left for Copa Africa.

With all the current absentees in both squad, it looks like Marseille is stillĀ  a decent favorite in this game as their form is simply way better right now and Lilles missings should be more important one, especially in defense.
